OUR

Committees

Student Activities Council is comprised of nine committees. Three of those committees are operational focused and include Membership Development, Marketing, and Publicity. While the other six are programming focused and include After Hours, Campus Events, Comedy, Concerts, Films, and Public Affairs.

Every committee has an Executive Board member as the head and four to ten All Council members to assist them in event idea generation, planning, executing, and evaluation.

Meet our committees
Marketing

The Marketing Committee is led by Allie Smoot. This committee takes charge of branding our organization and making known who SAC is and what it does. They do this by creating SAC branded promotional items that they distribute, monitor SAC's social media platforms, and host promotion tables throughout the year.

Membership Development

The Membership Development committee is led by Tyler Janssen. They help our members feel valued and appreciated. They also look for ways to help members get to know each other within the organization and connect them to their fellow peers. This committee will encourage SAC members to further their leadership potential by facilitating leadership growth activities and encouraging attendance to MO State Lead leadership programs.

Publicity

The Publicity Committee is led by Renz Kho. This committee is tasked with publicizing all of SAC's events. This is a daunting task because SAC executes around 60 events every semester! That's about four events every week. They are the liaison between SAC and PSU Graphic Design as we create flyers and digital content for our events. The do the admirable job of hanging up flyers in academic buildings, chalking for events, and more.

After Hours

The After Hours Committee is led by Lauren Smith. This committee programs an event every Thursday night from 9pm to midnight. They are your go-to for alternative late-night programming. Everything from Bubble Soccer to Pinterest Night to Disney Trivia, they have you covered on Thursday nights. And they ALWAYS have free food!

Campus Events

The Campus Events Committee is led by Katlyn Oldani. This committee shows their creative juices when theming all of their Friday night Rock n Bowls every week. They also prgram during the day about once a month with fun activities that almost always have free food and prizes. You won't want to miss out on their traditional events they host like Egg Hunt, Stuff-A-Boomer, or Hot Chocolate Giveaway!

Comedy

The Comedy Committee is led by Grace Murray. If you like to laugh, Comedy Committee has you covered. This committee brings local, regional, and even nationally known comedians to campus. Past performers include Jimmy Fallon, Amy Schumer, Daniel Franzese, and Drew Lynch.

Films

The Films committee is led by Honesty Gant. This committee brings all of your favorite movies to campus, from the latest blockbusters to the oldies but goodies. A free movie and popcorn never go out of style.

Concerts

The Concerts Committee is led by Tim Wilkinson. This committee will have you on your feet boppin' to the latest jams. Concerts committee is committed to bringing quality local, regional, and nationally-known artist to campus. Past concerts have included Wiz Khalifa, Cheat CodesMacklemore & Ryan Lewis, KYLE, AJR, Childish Gambino, and more!
